Frightful and Famous Fear Asylum – Oct 26 – Nov 4 at 7:00pm

Have you been dared to go to the Fear Asylum yet? It’s been deemed “South Dakota’s Premier Haunted Attraction”, and it’s right here in Brookings! Have caution though; this attraction isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s geared towards teens and adults. It would be wise to arrive early, or else…

Let’s Get ‘Unwrapped’ with Brookings Community Theatre! – Oct 26 – 28 at 7:30pm, and Oct 29 at 2:00pm

This is a play of hysterically “horrific” proportions, but is completely family-friendly! This play by Charlie Lovett follows the world’s worst movie producer, David O. Dimwit as he and his staff travel to Vansyltrania to produce his next horrible movie. Other characters to watch out for include Dr. Frankenstein and the famous monster, Chief Inspector Idiot, Eegor, and the somewhat scary mummy!

Haunted Trail at McCrory Gardens – Oct 26 – 28 at 8:00pm

Another spooktacular event is the 3^rd Annual Haunted Trail at McCrory Gardens! This is also intended for mature audiences. Expect the unexpected on this trail of fear through the ghoulish gardens! Just $10 to go, or $9 plus a non-perishable food item.

Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Children’s Museum of SD – Oct 27 at 5:15

Alright kids! Kidoodle needs your help to help solve a science experiment that’s gone terribly wrong! Gather clues to crack the case! Trick or Trees at McCrory Gardens – Oct 29 from 2 to 4pm

Come in costume for a photo and a costume contest, and take in the fall beauty along the Trick-or-Trees trail!

Halloween Open Gym at KCK Wildfire Oct 29 1 to 3pm

Halloween fun for the whole family! Join everyone for fun with inflatables, games and prizes for the best costume! Cost is only $5 per child.

Trick or Treat on Main – Oct 31^st from 4 to 6pm

This annual fun and family-filled event always treats the best trick-or-treaters! Bring your candy bags, and fill ‘em to the top with goodies from your local businesses in Downtown Brookings! Just look for the businesses with balloons for the sweet spot!

If you’re looking to go out just for a little while, there are also some Trunk-or-Treats happening at local churches.

These awesome community events all help make this area in South Dakota such a wonderful, beautiful, and fun place to live.
