VA LOANS

- Hey, good morning everybody. It's Monday morning, it is 8:15 and that is the Monday Morning Mortgage Tip time. Shane here with the Brookings Home Team, powered by Century 21. I've got Barb here from Bank Star and she's here to give us our Monday Morning Mortgage Tip. Take it away.

- Good morning. It's almost Memorial Day, and we at Bank Star would like to take a moment to thank the people who are veterans for their service to our country. I have spent a lot of time training, extra training for VA loans and we'd like to let people know that those are available. A veteran can stop in, make an appointment, we'll get your Certificate of Eligibility, help you figure out how much house you can afford for your budget, and get you ready to buy. Rates are great, there's no down payment, that's your thank you from the rest of us for your service. And the payments are very reasonable then. Whether you were in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, or something more recent, your VA Certificate is still good. Most recently, I have helped both a young couple get into a new home, and an older couple get into a new home that was all on one level, and that was a World War II Certificate. So, that was kind of fun to be able to work with them. We have some special programs coming up. We have a new savings account for kids. We have an interest bearing checking account that ties to your mortgage for some special benefits. So, a person could come in and tie a whole lot of things together at Bank Star for a really great experience.

- Perfect, alright, yeah. Thank you again to the military. The men and women that have served. I'm glad you brought that up, the weekend is coming up here fast.

- It is.

- I didn't even realize that. That reminds me that we will not have our Monday Morning Mortgage Tip next Monday 'cause of course that is Memorial week, or Memorial Day so we'll have it on Tuesday. Yes, thanks again to all the military men and women out there serving for our freedom.
